Simply amazing, the staff were wonderful, the breakfast was...

Simply amazing, the staff were wonderful, the breakfast was awesome (I had bread with scrambled eggs and coffee). The beds were great and it was good positioned in the area. Scooter rental was really good and not for a fair price. There wasn’t a thing I didn’t like.

What was the highlight of Mango Hostel

unbelievable friendly

Even though I didn't stayed long, actually just one night as I did go for a trekking tour - the lady at the reception (I'm so so sorry I've forgotten your name) was super heartwarming friendly. She'd helped me with booking the right tour - which took an easy two hours cause it was already super late and we had to find something which fits my needs and wasn't fully booked already. She even welcomed me after the tour and let me took a shower even though I checked out days before. I'm kinda sad that I couldn't stay longer - but I'll be back(unfortunately might take some years) that's for sure.

The bathroom is in the dorm room, which is actually a good thing. But its not soundproof, so it wasn't possible to get out early without annoying the other guests. But that's something they can't change anyways.

What was the highlight of Mango Hostel

Best hostel

I booked at Mango hostel for one night. The hostel is very clean, beds are confortable and the breakfast is very good (pancake banana). Reception is so welcoming, so kind, smiling, very helpful and answer to all your questions. I also rented a scooter : the engine I rented was in very well condition and the reception will help show you where to go, giving you a map ND explain you the best spots. The location of the hostel is very good, so you can visit the area by scooter (caves, waterfalls) and is near the restaurants (Bamboo Cafe is the best one). Thanks a lot, my journey in Phong Nha was perfect.

Great location and staff, would stay again

Great location on main road, 1 min walk from bus drop off and easy tiger hostel. Heaps of restaurants nearby. Can check in early (4am) for $1 more. Super nice staff, very helpful. Also made me breakfast at 6.30am before my early bus (breakfast normally starts at 7am). Good wifi. Lockers for valuables.

Shower like most in Vietnam - makes entire bathroom wet.

Best Hostel i visited in Vietnam. Perfect.

Extremly friendly and cute Hostel staff. The Hostel is 1 min walk from the main bus stop. The room are big extremly clean and the beds are a dream. Big matress everything is new and fresh. The breakfast is also the best i had in a vietnamese hostel. Such a quality place. perfect.

Friendly lady manning the fort on her own. She helped us plan a little loop around the national park

The bathroom vent was connected to the dorm vent so noise was rather transparent!

It is new hostel with clean and beautiful room. I stayed 02 nights with a bed in dormitary. There are comfortable beds, lockers, curtains and air conditioning There are 02 girls in front desk who are friendly, helpful and cute.

What was the highlight of Mango Hostel

Quynh is the differential in Mango

Only stayed a night here as I was doing a 1-day in the caves & getting sleeper bus at 9pm that night. Arrived late (11pm) from Hue but Quynh (Quinn) kept in contact with me through booking.com to see was I ok and that she would be there to check me in. I had a double room with own bathroom - very comfortable. Quynh laid out all the tours for me on arrival & we booked the paradise/dark cave tour (1.35m dong). It was 100% the best choice with balance of spectacular dry cave & active wet cave. Can’t recommend enough for a 1-day-er. Night bus (Camel Travel) was a bit of an issue and if it wasn’t for Quynh I might have been bunched. It was due at 9pm but think it was around 40 mins late. Quynh waited with me the whole time. We walked directly across the street to Gecko hostel to board. She came on to the bus 2 mins later when it didn’t move & asked me did I have a seat (which I didn’t). Another example of either over-booking or the bus crew giving a bed to friends/family. Quynh sorted it out for me & I duly got a bed for the 7hr night bus. She even messaged me after apologising & asking that everything went ok (which it did). She was the differentiating factor & reason I posted this review. Also she made a class scrambled eggs breakfast with spring onion, tomato ... think best I’ve had on these travels ... Quiet hostel, but easy walk to others if looking for more activity. Suited me to the ground to get a solid sleep. Checked out before went on the caves tour but Quynh looked after my bags & gave me a towel to shower on ground floor once I got back, before going for the bus. Highly recommend if looking for excellent service & a solid sleep.

Cheap and good location

Delicious omelette, nice and friendly receptionist with really good english (thanks for evening talks :D), dorm room has its own bathroom. You can also rent a bike there or book a tour to the jungle or bus to another city.

Outlets could have better positions.

I arrived at 4AM in the night (the night before my booking)...

I arrived at 4AM in the night (the night before my booking) because of a sleeper bus and I was already able to check in and sleep a few hours before starting my day. Besides that, the staff was really nice and friendly. They helped me out with everything I asked for!
